To all participants in the 2018 Certification Program:
We’ve been hearing and seeing such great enthusiasm and forward motion. It’s very gratifying indeed, you are amazing human beings — each and every one of you.
And now we have available the private website for facilitators, to give you another boost.
Because each of you has invested so much of yourselves in this program, we are including some tools for practice development (some might call this “marketing”) — beyond what was originally promised or envisioned. Consider this a bonus because of how cool y’all are.
These are drawn from decades of consulting to consultants on the development of their practices (bet you didn’t know we’ve done that). We know you’ll find them as valuable as they did. Some of these materials are woven into the preparation for your first retreat. Others will come later.
A few words of introduction before you click away to explore …
We’ve organized the learning-and-action materials in a sequence that leads to delivery of your first retreat. To encourage you to focus on one step at a time and really process it, we’ll release an item or two at a time, spread over the next few weeks.
We recommend you go through all these resources in sequence — as your first step — before you offer your first retreat. Even before you have conversations about what it’s about, announce your involvement in this work, set the investment level for your offerings, etc.
We also recommend that you work with us on your strategy for offering your first program. We are here to support you — and this is an important (required) part of the certification process.
If you’ve already plunged ahead and moved into action, that’s fine, too. We love that kind of energy and initiative. We still recommend you take a brief pause to go through the materials and take stock of where you are.
On the website you’ll also be able to see your progress toward certification, ask a question or schedule a call, and review an archive of updates we’ve sent out to the group. Thanks to the magic of technology, you may also see special private notes addressed only to you. The idea is to organize — in one place — everything related to the program, so it’s all at your fingertips.
Of course, we’ll be adding even more over time. For example, we’re working right now on answering several of the questions we’ve received and organizing them on a Q&A page. (As we’ve mentioned before, that’s our preferred way to handle questions, so everyone in the group can benefit.)
